中国新生代指弹吉他手，从小学习钢琴吉他，2015年首次接触到指弹吉他这种风格，深深被吸引，并同期跟随著名吉他手郭征鑫老师学习指弹演奏，为后来的发展打下了扎实的基础。
2019年第一次远赴北京参加吉他中国全国木吉他大赛，获得冠军。
2020受邀参加江苏卫视播出的真人秀节目《我们的乐队》并担任ACE乐队核心候选人的位置。
在这之后便开始静下心来不断地尝试改编创作，并且慢慢的找到了属于自己的风格，将中国传统音乐元素与现代吉他风格进行融合，创作出了许多优秀的指弹作品并斩获全国各大吉他赛事奖项。

Sun Yao is a rising star among China’s new generation of fingerstyle guitarists. Having studied piano and guitar from an early age, he first encountered fingerstyle guitar in 2015. He was deeply captivated by this genre and began studying under the renowned guitarist Guo Zhengxin, which laid a solid foundation for his future development.
In 2019, he traveled to Beijing for the first time to compete in the Guitar China’s National Acoustic Guitar Competition, where he won the championship.
In 2020, he was invited to participate in the reality show *”Our Band”* aired on Jiangsu TV, where he served as a core candidate for the ACE Band.
Afterward, Sun Yao dedicated himself to arranging and composing music, gradually finding his unique style. By integrating elements of traditional Chinese music with modern guitar techniques, he has created numerous outstanding fingerstyle compositions and won multiple national guitar competition awards.
