Trace Bundy 是“指弹中国”的老朋友。从2012年我们第一次合作开始，到现在已经15 年了。他也是我们邀请次数最多的美国指弹吉他艺术家之一。可能也和性格有关，Trace在我们这里有个很接地气的外号——老崔。他的情商非常高。有一次大家一起玩一个中国小游戏—— 用筷子夹花生米。结果我这个中国人，竟然还没有他夹得多。老崔一直很愿意尝试中国文化，也懂得“入乡随俗”。这一点，其实是很多艺术家做不到的。我一直很欣赏像老崔这样的人。既然来到中国了，这里的吃的、喝的、住的，都值得去体验。就像如果我到了美国，却每天只想着喝羊汤、吃拉面，那肯定会错过很多不同文化带来的美好体验。距离 2023 年 Trace 上一次中国巡演已经过去两年时间。在指弹中国20周年之际，我们再次邀请老崔来到中国。这一次巡演的时间，我们特意选择在9月份。以往他的中国巡演大多在11月或12 月进行。我当时开玩笑说：“为了让更多观众可以现场买一件T恤，这个季节还是9月比较好。” 既不会太热，也不会太冷，正是秋高气爽的季节。不得不说，Trace的T恤设计和质量都非常不错。我记得 Petteri Sariola 就有一件，最近录视频的时候几乎天天穿。我自己以前也有两件，穿起来非常舒服。所以这次巡演，大家如果来到现场，一定要抓住机会买一件试试看。关于这次巡演主题的寓意，其实来源于Trace的经典专辑《Adapt》。这张专辑最早发行于2004年。到现在，已经 22 年过去了。最近Trace重新制作了黑胶版本，非常受欢迎。对于很多早期的指弹吉他爱好者来说，《Adapt》几乎是陪伴我们成长的一张专辑。当年听这张专辑的很多人，可能还是高中生、大学生。而如今，很多人已经30多岁、 40多岁，结婚生子，在工作和家庭之间忙碌奔波。甚至，有些人连自己曾经最热爱的兴趣爱好，也慢慢放下了。但回头看这 22 年的时间，却像黄金一样珍贵。于是，“黄金时代 + Adapt” 这个巡演主题就这样诞生了。过去的 22 年，是黄金时代。未来的 22 年，也依然会是黄金时代。在指弹吉他的道路上，我们的目标很简单—— 坚持 100 年，不动摇。

Performance Introduction
Trace Bundy is an old friend of Fingerstyle China.
It has been fifteen years since our first collaboration back in 2012, and he is among the American fingerstyle guitarists we have invited to China the most times. Endowed with an easy-going personality, Trace is affectionately nicknamed Lao Cui by Chinese fans. He is extremely thoughtful and quick-witted. Once we played a traditional Chinese game of picking up peanuts with chopsticks, and surprisingly, this foreign guest outdid me, a native Chinese. Always eager to embrace local culture, he truly knows how to do as the Romans do, a quality rarely seen among many artists. I have always admired him for this attitude. When you come to China, you ought to fully experience its local cuisine, lifestyle and customs. Likewise, if I went to America yet only craved my hometown food every day, I would surely miss countless wonderful cultural experiences.
Two years have passed since Trace’s last China tour in 2023. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fingerstyle China, we are thrilled to welcome him back once again. We specially scheduled this tour in September, unlike his previous tours mostly held in November and December. I once joked that early autumn is the perfect season for audiences to grab his tour T-shirts, with pleasant mild weather neither too hot nor too cold.
Trace’s tour merchandise is well-known for its stylish design and fine quality. Petteri Sariola is often spotted wearing one in his recent videos, and I myself owned two pieces which were incredibly comfortable to wear. Don’t miss the chance to get one on site this time.
The tour theme draws inspiration from his iconic album Adapt, originally released in 2004, marking a span of twenty-two years up to now. Its newly remastered vinyl edition has gained immense popularity recently. For veteran fingerstyle lovers, this album has been a precious companion through youthful days. Those who listened to it in their high school and college years are now in their thirties and forties, occupied with careers and family lives, and many have gradually put aside their once beloved hobbies. Yet these past twenty-two years remain as precious as gold.
Hence comes the tour theme: Golden Age & Adapt.
The past twenty-two years have been a golden age,
and the next twenty-two years will remain equally glorious.
On the journey of fingerstyle guitar, we hold one simple goal —
Stay committed for a hundred years, without hesitation.
