WAGF和WAUF同为指弹中国旗下鲸啄音乐/鲸啄乐器推广原声吉他和尤克里里文化的音乐节品牌， WAGF前身为2013开始举办的”指弹中国指弹夏令营“，从2018年起正式更名为”啄木鸟原声吉他音乐节“，2025年举办第九届”WAGF指弹大赛”，目前是国际三大指弹赛事之一。

WAGF and WAUF are both festival brands under FingerstyleChina, promoting acoustic guitars and ukulele culture through Whalewoodpecker Music/ Instruments. WAGF originated from the “FingerstyleChina Summer Camp” that started in 2013 and was officially renamed the “Woodpecker Acoustic Guitar Music Festival” in 2018. The 9th “WAGF Fingerstyle Competition” will be held in 2025, and it is currently one of the three major international fingerstyle events.

The Contest Rules
🧑‍🎄 Registration Requirements
① Nationality: No restrictions
② Number of Participants: Individual
③ Age Requirements:

  • Fingerstyle Cover & Original Competitions: No age limit
  • Children’s Competition: Born in 2013 or later
  • Teen Competition: Born in 2007 or later
    ④ Fees:
  • Preliminary round: Free
  • Final round: 880 RMB (includes one WAGF concert ticket)

🎸 How to Register
Fill out the registration form (click and hold to save the image)
Record a video and upload it to any Bilibili account (ensure the video is set to public and visible; deletion or replacement of the video is prohibited). The title must strictly follow the required format!!! Title format: 2025WAGF + competition name + name + song title + competition type. Competition Name: Select one from the five competition categories Competition Type: Select one from “Cover (Singing)”, “Arrangement”, or “Original” Example: 2025WAGF Children’s Guitar Singing and Playing Competition, Wu You, Childhood, Cover .After submitting, be sure to add Li’s WeChat to join the contestant group (send the Bilibili video link in the group to complete your registration).

🎸参赛要求：📹视频要求
①视频和音频必须同步横屏录制，视频开头须展示报名表三秒以上；②清晰完整展示（吉他、双手、面部）;③可以使用拾音器效果器，视频音频不可以后期处理，严禁使用伴奏与Loop;④视频必须是为了比赛全新录制。

🎵曲目要求：

①“自选曲目”，初赛和决赛可以相同；

②少儿、青少年指弹/弹唱大赛参赛曲目不限制风格及类型、翻弹改编原创均可，参赛者独立改编和原创作品酌情考虑加分；

③翻弹大赛参赛曲目需为翻弹作品；原创大赛参赛曲目，要求本人独立原创或改编，严禁使用他人作品参赛。

🎸乐器要求：

①线上初赛：原声吉他（电箱可，尼龙弦、钢弦等不限，琴型不限）；

②线下决赛：统一使用组委会提供吉他，拾音器，效果器等。所有选手不用自己携带吉他和效果器设备。 

🧑‍🎄晋级名额：

①根据初赛报名人数和水平确定晋级名额，每个比赛预计晋级20~25人；

②合作艺术节冠军选手直接获得WAGF对应组别决赛晋级名额。

🚫参赛限制：

①历届冠军不能参加相同组别比赛；

②选手只能参加一项比赛不能兼报。

① 少儿、青少年、翻弹大赛

完整度流畅性与节奏      50分

演奏演唱控制表现力      20分

演奏技巧与曲目难度      15分

整体情绪曲目融合度      15分

② 原创指弹吉他大赛

③ 其他评分标准

初赛由指弹中国团队评选晋级选手；

决赛弃权名额，成绩最好选手增补;

决赛出场顺序，每个组别抽签决定；

决赛选手增补，抽签7月15日完成。

🎸 Competition Requirements
📹 Video Requirements
① The video and audio must be recorded in landscape orientation and synchronized. The video must show the registration form for at least three seconds at the beginning.
② The video must clearly and completely show the guitar, both hands, and face.
③ You may use pickups and effects pedals, but the video/audio cannot be edited afterward. The use of backing tracks and loops is strictly prohibited.
④ The video must be newly recorded specifically for the competition.

🎵 Song Requirements
① “Choice of Song”: The same song may be used for both the preliminary and final rounds.
② For the Children’s and Teen Fingerstyle/Singing and Playing Competitions, there are no restrictions on the style or type of song. Covers, arrangements, and original compositions are all allowed. Independent arrangements and original works will be considered for additional points.
③ For the Cover Competition, the song must be a cover. For the Original Competition, the song must be an original or arranged work created by the contestant themselves. The use of others’ works is strictly prohibited.

🎸 Instrument Requirements
① Online Preliminary Round: Acoustic guitar (electric-acoustic guitars are allowed; nylon or steel strings, etc., are allowed; guitar type is not restricted).
② Offline Final Round: All contestants will use guitars, pickups, and effects pedals provided by the organizing committee. Contestants do not need to bring their own guitars or equipment.

🧑‍🎄 Advancement Slots
① The number of contestants advancing will be determined based on the number of registrations and the level of participants. Each competition is expected to have 20-25 people advance.
② The winner of the cooperative art festival will be directly granted a spot in the corresponding final round of WAGF.

🚫 Competition Restrictions
① Past champions cannot participate in the same category again.
② Contestants can only participate in one competition and cannot register for multiple categories.

🎸 Scoring Criteria
① Children’s, Teen, and Cover Competitions:

  • Completeness, Fluency, and Rhythm: 50 points
  • Performance, Singing Control, and Expressiveness: 20 points
  • Playing Technique and Song Difficulty: 15 points
  • Overall Emotion and Song Integration: 15 points

② Original Fingerstyle Guitar Competition:

  • Originality and Musicality: 50 points
  • Playing Technique and Expressiveness: 20 points
  • Dynamic Control and Stage Presence: 15 points
  • Overall Emotion and Song Integration: 15 points

③ Other Scoring Criteria
The preliminary round contestants will be selected by the Fingerstyle China team. For any withdrawn spots in the final, the best performing contestants will be added.
The order of performance in the final will be determined by a random draw.
Finalists’ additional spots will be decided through a draw, which will be completed by July 15th.
